Who has used these in a 70-72 skylark? and what shock have you used with good success? Im looking at the KYB gas a just shocks. Going for a daily driver/ pro touring setup. Let me know, thanks. https://www.ebay.com/p/BMR-Suspension-Sp031-Lowering-Spring-Kit-Set-of-4-2-Drop/671359000
I have linear rate springs from a different supplier with a 2 inch drop. If you like progressive springs those BMR ones are probably good. No firsthand experience but never heard bad things either. I’m using the KYB Gas-a-just shocks. They are way better than the worn out ones they replaced, but a little weak for the setup I’m running now. Will probably swap them out before too long. But for the price, pretty good, especially on the street.
Stance is good, if I were doing it over I’d go with a 1 inch drop. Of course, I have an additional 1/2 inch drop in the front from tall ball joints. I have a little fender rubbing that I attribute to being slightly too low. If you are planning to autocross, the KYB Gas-A-Just is probably too soft. Viking, Bilstein or UMI shocks would probably work better
