My crankcase filter in my air cleaner housing seems to be being sucked/blown out its holder and letting the oil mist collect inside the filter housing. Anyone else have this issue? Engine doesn't knock, smoke, tick, burn oil... nothing. I was thinking just a piece of duct tape over the top of the filter to keep it in it's holder. Also as a test, disconnect the hose from the v/c, but leave the filter in there. Put a derpy chrome breather on and then drive around. If it still moves, I guess then it'd be the carb.

In a best case scenario, you might have a clogged PCV valve. Worst case, your rings are no good. What does the carb have anything to do with it?

I don't know, wrote this when i was kinda loopy. 13 hour days plus being up for an additional 6 hours dealing with random car stuff. I guess my thought was the qjet was "inhaling" so much it was pulling the filter out of its little holder... I'll check the pcv valve tomorrow. It should rattle if not stuck right?

And if the rings were no good, wouldn't it smoke like hell? It doesn't, at all. Doesn't burn oil either.

IIRC, those filters have a couple staples thru them to help retain it in the housing

I don’t think I’d be worried much about it.
