Ok. Maybe I’ll just purchase both, see what lines up. Thanks

What's wrong with using a stock starter? Perhaps, if it was a high compression engine, but I never had a starter failure as long as the stock heat shield is in place, even with various headers on my 455s - Mickey Thompson Super Scavenger and old Hooker equal-length 2" primaries with slip tubes.

    Nando.

I thought the lt1 style starters fit our 153 tooth flex plates etc?

They do, just pointing out that Powermaster has a different part number for the Buick 455. If you look at the applications for that starter, they list the 94-96 Roadmaster.

Larry, I think I may take this back for the 9511, as it’s greater capacity and assume it has the s and r terminals as I just bought a new engine wiring harness recently.

None of the Mini starters have the "R" terminal connection. You can wire it to the "S" terminal with a diode the way Robb Mc starter instructions say. Are you going to use points?

I may actually use points. with an engine that won’t see more than 5,000 rpm, I think I may.

Actually Cliff Ruggles talked me into it using points when we discussed my q jet rebuild.

    Super econo!

Attaches to the passenger side valve cover, intake side, center bolt. The engine harness tucks into it.

    Zoom in on this picture.

It affixes to the RH valve cover and keeps the harness in place.

That’s a lot of red iron. The water pump is just for assembly. Not sure what length I need until I start swapping over the pulleys and brackets from the 350. 4D789B8E-003D-47C2-99C3-265DA201B0D2.jpeg

I will before install. Do you know if the exhaust manifolds will be in the way to install?

They should not be, I was able to install my 430 with shorty headers attached to the heads. Manifolds should be fine
