Bilstein Shocks, has anyone ran these?

    They arent booming like when they first went in when I hit a big bump - theyre quite fine, now - firm, but not booming. Thanks to everyone for the replies...

    I quite sure the black units are not nearly as stout as the yellow ones, but, I'm glad to know they work well for you.

    Are the shocks for a Chevelle the same as our GS? I ask because talking to Bilstein, they don't list a shock for the GS?

    Should be, 64-72 A body should be the same.

    do you know any shocks that cross over to the 68 riviera?

    No, but that doesn't mean there are none. I would call the manufacturer you are interested in, or send them a letter. Tell them you want to run their shocks and you need their assistance. Give them these part numbers,

    Then see if they have something close.

    When you go to Rockauto.com and get into the '68 Rivi shock selection - click on the blue button "INFO" on the AC Delco shock offering. That will give you a chart with all the dimensions of that particular shock. Then you can give that information to the tech at Bilstein to match up. All the important info is listed on the chart(s). Let us all know how you make out with it.
