Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Just before this was posted, both of those causes were what our local newswas reporting as first investigation possibilities.

By all means, please post your sources. Someone has to call out a bigot when they see one

I can't help but chuckle over the remarks concerning advances in construction making things better, how much better can it get, the building is over 800 years old. So far so good if it weren't for the fire!

My wife and I visited Notre Dame & multiple other locations on a long delayed “real” honeymoon (were married in days after Hugo & almost had to use candelabras for wedding but power came back on at church the day before).
I still remember standing in front of Notre-Dame not wanting to just rush inside but to take in the architectural magnitude and artistic masterpieces from a distant era.
I had never seen anything that humbling and giving you the feeling you had just been transported way way back.
Yes, finding that old growth wood will be virtually impossible which makes me very sad but I was so happy to hear they saved so much of the priceless treasures inside. So happy all of it did not come down and hopefully that remaining will be structurally sound enough to remain for this gargantuan plan to raise it from the flames.
This was the picture on the news which struck me the most, even in the midst of a horrendous fire,it was still showing it’s incredible character and unparalleled workmanship.

Calling out a bigot is not name calling, they like to stick out their chests and thump them when they get called out. (btw, name calling? I believe you started this out with calling me a stalker??)
