Anybody have a good number for a bare '67-'76 400/430/455 block? My guess would be 275 lbs or so but some of you probably know to the ounce!

Fully assembled from carb to pan, around 650 lbs. I've had my 430 out twice. The crank, alone, is probably 100 lbs...the heads are about 70 each, I know the intake is about 60 lbs...this is a big hunk of iron...

I was thinking, about 180 lbs. but you are probably right with 165lbs. I too have
carried a 455 or two in my days. :)

Stumbled across this today and remembered this thread. Not sure where it came from but thought it was off V8 Buick long time ago...haven't been on board much last 5 years or so...?? I could fill in some blank spots too, have cams and stock stuff here but maybe this is helpful to someone?
