I am very happy to report that I received my parts from Marty. We traded a few Emails and phone calls to get things straightened out.

My parts arrived by UPS this afternoon in a very well packaged and wrapped 96 pound box. The parts arrived in the condition I expected and complete. I asked Marty to include the ground body bolts that attach the A arms to the frame, which he did.

All in all, I am very happy and satisfied. He even spent more on the shipping than he had originally requested. I offered to pay him the difference, which he refused to accept my offer.

I know there have been some pretty negative things said about Marty, but I have no beef with him. He treated me fairly and gave me a reasonable deal on the parts I ordered from him.

He claims to have the largest collection of 59 Buicks in existence, which I have no reason to question. He also says he is very busy, which explains why the transaction took a few months to complete. Again, I have no reason to question that statement. I would like to have gotten the parts sooner, but I am very satisfied with the transaction nonetheless.

Marty seemed like an OK guy when I talked to him on the phone. I had a problem with my email provider which caused some of my Emails to not be delivered, not only to Marty, but others as well. I unfairly accused him of ignoring my emails, but it turned out to be my fault. For that, I apologize.

Based on my transaction, I would recommend buying 59 Buick parts from Marty to anyone who is looking for them.

  3. Glad to hear that it all worked out for you.

Not the same company; Eelco is owned by me. NW speed was partnership that I had the misfortune of being a part of. Get your facts straight!!

So....Eelco is by yourself and Northwest Speed you had help. It doesn't sound like his facts were too far off.

I hope you do not look at everything in your life in this way. That would be depressing.

What it means is that I was a junior partner and had little control over how the money was spent. I answered the phones and am the only one who stayed in the automotive world so I have taken the heat for years. I walked away with nothing but my tools and the eelco name that I personally owned. I started over with my best friend who passed away in '06. I still continue to forge ahead because I am not a quitter and despite the haters. I see no complaints at the quality of my work; Only the time it takes to get it done. I admit that I am a poor judge of how long it takes to get the job done but I do get it done and I get it right and at a good price.

Look around at all the eelco parts on the market and all the products that are similar that are made by me undr other brands. I have done all of this by myself with at the very most; One part time helper.

I have worked in very poor health of my own for close to 2 years now and I have never whined about it. When the parts stop selling; I will stop making them. If you do not like me or have the patience for me; Leave me alone. If you have never met me you have no right to comment on my charachter or who I am.

This is my final response to the matter. I believe I have answered with all the facts and I will not continue to fan the flame for your entertainment.

Considering this post was started in 2005 and Marty/Eelco/NW speed has declared defeat, I think we should let it go.

Re: Beware of Northwest Speed Equipment & Randy Rymal

Yeah, I appreciate the warning will not do business with Northwest Speed. My added warning is about Randy Rymal. This guy sent me a Fuel Sending Unit that fell apart in my hands so I sent it back but haven't heard from this jerk in over two years. Emails, phone calls, purchased part, refund... nothing. I finally ended up getting another unit elsewhere.
Be careful: The Buick community has some rotten vendors in its midst, albeit a lot of good ones that make it still worth being a part of.
