I need to replace the weatherstrip on the doorjamb as my doors are being acid dipped and re-painted over the winter.

Who is the best source for this?
Then hopefully I can remember how to re-assemle the doors.....

Your choices will be most likely limited to "Softseal", "Metro" or "Steele". All are good products.

The Metro is more firm than the soft seal and has a better warranty. Like anyone would try warranty weatherstrip. I have used both and would buy the best price in this case as they all perform well. I do like the way "Metro" connects the ends on their door weatherstrip better than "Softseal". Steele also makes a nice product however I am not sure if they make an A body door weatherstrip.

Your choice is usually limited to the brand the particular vender you use sources. Rarely do they have multiple brands as the buy in and yearly sales maintance is pretty heavy as far as cost of product versus yearly total sales.

I know two Chevy vendors that "pool" their purchases to get the best price (cheapest) as neither by themselves sells enough weatherstrip to qualify for deep discount.
