I'm looking to put the original style tire back on my 70 stage 1 looking for a set of four poly glass G 60's. Who has the best price ? I saw a while ago a board member who had a line on a good price. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I have a friend with a W30 who just put a set of the new repro RWL belted/radials on his car. You can't tell they are radials at all. That's how I'm going from now on. I don't think they make that size, but when my 442 needs them, it's going to be radial repros. Maybe call the tire pimp and ask. BTW-I think Rusty goes to like Fall Carlisle and can deliver there. You could save a lot of $.

Are those the Firestone Wide Ovals?

Brett, yes, the Firestone Wide Ovals. They look great, I couldn't even tell they were radials. Most of my cars I've had both radials and bias plys on them. I love the look of the bias plys, the squareness of the tread where it hits the road, etc. But with the roads as bad as they are here in MA, the bias plys track into all the holes and cracks in the road. On a smooth highway the bias plys are fine. Rt 44 in Taunton to Providence, is a nightmare of road defects! You don't notice them as much with radials.

Route 44 is absolute hell. Agreed!

I wonder if there are any plans to make the Polyglas in a radial....
