I have struck out with the local carb rebuilders here (Rochester 4 Brl on a 75 LeSabre)
Had it rebuilt twice by Canadian Carburetors then tried Carburetor Ken in Chilliwack.
Still stalls on acceleration and high idles. I could send it to Every-Day in Connecticut but is there someone local in the Seattle / Portland area that knows how to rebuild with a decent turn around time?
    Thanks in advance
    Robert

You may not need a carburetor rebuilder, but someone who can diagnose what the problem is. That would mean leaving the carb on the car and bringing it somewhere as a total package .

The carb may be ok, it might be the supporting cast such as fuel pump, rubber sections of fuel line, sock in tank, vent lines.
Give more detailed info, maybe we can help.

I use a local shop here called Fred's Automotive, they work on all my cars as it is illegal in my city to do any work on your car on the street.
It would be great to have someone who is good and really local but it appears there isn't anyone reliable.
Fuel pump works well, rubber lines replaced, sock in tank and the vent lines have all been checked, the shop has it pretty much down to the carb so it is just a matter of getting it properly rebuilt and it should be good to go.
The short lag on quick acceleration is driving me nuts!
Thanks for the help and oldschool a pm is coming your way....

I used these guys when i did a 2 to 4 barrel swap on my 350. They did a great job on the carb. I talked to them on the phone. Gave them my specs. They built the carb based on that. Turn aroud was maybe a week at the time. Bob was the guy i spoke to.
