Best fitting 455 upper radiator hose

Evening guys.

So I have a '72 Skylark, did a 455 swap & I'm looking for the best fitting Gates upper radiator hose. I've read through the threads on here & Georges tips but haven't quite found the answer.

What I'm after is the Gates hose that will fit the best with a non-GS air cleaner. I currently have a 20980 & it doesn't quite fit into the shroud strap very well(pulls on the strap a good bit).

Which is a better fit for the fan shroud strap the Gates 20577 or 20869?

Hey Kyle... this was back in 2013 when I fist picked up the XGS 455. The hose was an order and one day out. Hope this helps... ws

 

$9.29 at Bumper to Bumper including tax, no shipping and immediate return if incorrect. The B to B owner is a 4-4-2 guy too. ws

Larry, RockAuto used to be awesome but since CO changed the tax set-up they say they will no longer ship to my address.

Seems that the 20869 would be the hose I'm looking for.
