I bought a complete poly bushing kit for the front and rear of my 68 Skylark Custom. I also bought the Belltec Frnt springs listed as 1" drop. I heard that springs advertised drop will double on the front of the car. Soooo, should I expect the front to ride 2"s lower? I'm running the soft factory rear springs and TA no hop bars for now. The shocks are new AC Delco gas units.
The rear is a couple inches lower from the factory.

Guess I asked a non legitimate question.
Im putting 1" lower rated springs on a stock 68Skylark front end. The factory rear springs are stock. I want the front at least level, if not with a bit of rake to the front. Has no one put a set of 1" lower coils on the front? Should I go lower? Just want a nice street stance. With a bit of bite. Couple dozen views no input

I haven't. even with the 1 in drop ive seen sometimes they have to settle or be trimmed some to get them to level out.

The problem with static rated spring is that the resulting drop will differ from application to application. That's why coilovers are so popular. Don't be surprised if you have to cut some coils and or go with a drop spindle to get it sitting where you want.

I was afraid of that. All the coils are stock with almost 300K miles on them. I think the rear is sitting pretty low.
