So its been a while since I have worked on a Buick , and my 70 GS 455 that I acquired last fall that was restored 20 yrs ago and has sat for 5 or 6 years needs some attention the paint looks great except the roof has some checking almost looks like a vinyl top wasn't removed properly and skim coated over when I look at the trim tag it says for trim Z124 I think that's a not recommended by Buick color, brown bench (now black) and the paint code is 75 75 (Fire red0 I recall the paint code twice denoted upper and lower color could this be a red vinyl top ? I thought there was a letter for a top why put the same color twice ?
No vinyl top. 75/75 denotes Fire Red lower and upper body. Vinyl top colors were represented by an alpha digit.
