    Got a guy at work who wants to get rid of a BBC 402. Says its good, decided to keep the 383 in his 67 Camaro. $400, carb to oil pan. He said he'll give me my $$$ back if its no good. Says it ran when he pulled it out of a friends smashed up wagon, and its been sitting for a few. Is it worth picking up to horse trade with. Afraid I do not know much about the Big Block Sh!ttys.

    Thanks

    I know a little...

    Here's some info on the Chebby 402's;
    Even though the emblems said 396, the 402's came in '70 -'72 SS Chevelles and El caminos.
    They even came in Monte Carlos, Impalas, and trucks but were labeled 400's. :puzzled:

    One that's complete would be worth that, perhaps more depending on what it originally came out of.
    I would like to run across a deal like that. :ball:
    If you can get the numbers that are stamped on it then I can probably tell you what it is.
    You can post them here or e-mail me.:TU:
