Well guys...what a fantastic time we had representing Buick with the funny car and a bunch of firsts...First appearance by a Buick funny car (or any funny car for that matter, lol!) at the prestigious Amelia Island Concours 'd Elegance, Big-Time turnout for the 50th Anniversary of the NHRA Gator Nationals and finally...First time a Buick funny car has appeared at the World Famous Don Garlits Museum in Ocala...where she'll be on display until May 12th! A big Buick shout out to John & Jenn Everett for joining in on the fun at both Amelia and Gainesville...where the reception was unbelievable! We're home now for 7 weeks and then we'll fly back to Florida, pick the car up and make an appearance at the NHRA Virginia Nationals May 16-19th. We plan on having the car on the East Coast most of the year and want to attend as many All-Buick events as possible, John is assisting with putting together a schedule. We know we want to do the GS Nationals in Bowling Green October 23-26th and would like to ask for your assistance in helping fill out the rest of our dance card. All input is greatly appreciated...hopefully we'll be coming to a racetrack near you!
Love that car! I hope to get a chance to see it in person someday. Please keep us posted of it's whereabouts and hopefully I can come see it soon.
Always a good time when you are with great friends and enjoying great times, Nitro always helps also Jenn and I had a great time. It was cool to be firing up the Corvair funny car right after the Buick to hear the audible sound difference in the engine designs. We will post a few videos in a few days. Hope to see some of you in Virginia in May.....
Been to Garlit's museum 3 times and would go again next time we're in the area. I talked to a guy last week who said he was at the Gators and the museum and saw an old Buick funny car, that it had a Hemi in it. I said, "No, it doesn't. It may be the only funny car that doesn't but trust me on this one, it does not have a Hemi in it".
This car is AMAZING!! Got to check it out at the Gator Nationals and SOUNDS Amazing also. Love it!!! Thanks John for the picture.
Actually...here's who we bumped out of the museum to stage Ingenue...sure hope John doesn't come after me,lol!
I see the car made it into this weeks National Dragster too! Not the best pic but you can spot a Buick funny car.
