Yes, but definetly much work. Electric, rear axle (noise), engine oil dipstick (oil blows out)

LeSabre 400 is a small block (340) with the 400 trans, right? Did they get qjets or were they still AFBs?

Kai, my post regarding Qjet versus AFB was to clear up what engine and carburetor your car was built with. (Your car being a LeSabre 400 can confuse people, because Buick did build a 400 cubic inch engine. GS400s and Sportwagon 400s got that 400 inch (6.6 litre) engine, and it had a 750 cfm Rochester Quadrajet carburetor. LeSabre 400s did not get the 400 engine, they got the 340 with a Carter AFB carburetor, probably 600 cfm and the Turbo 400 three speed transmission). The Edelbrock Performer carb is a copy of the original Carter AFB and, other than being a generic copy of original, is adequate for a 340. Unfortunately, here in the states, a lot of people will buy a Buick with the 400, 430 or 455 and, when carb trouble occurs, remove the factory optimum 750 or 800 cfm Qjet and replace it with a parts store generic, too small Edelbrock because they don’t know any better. Often new members here get educated quickly regarding that being a big mistake, but if your car was built with a Carter AFB equipped 340, you’re not in that ‘mistake club’.
