Getting things in line to put my 70 Stage 1 heads on my motor in my car and swap out the 72 Stage 1 heads. I have a nice used set of ARP rocker studs as well as ARP head bolts. I know to use oil on the threads on the bolts but I can't find the paper telling what torque to use on the head bolts. The rocker shaft studs are another question. What would the torque pounds be for both the stud in the heads as well as the nut torque. I am not having much luck finding the numbers.

ARP has all the info on their website for head bolts, 110lbs iirc you are "supposed" to use ARP lube especially under the washer and under the head of the bolt, I use lubriplate myself it's not a magical substance you just want a heavy body lube to get accurate torque readings

The stud goes in finger tight and then 25~30 on the nut, iirc the stock bolt was 20ftlbs

    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

I can send you a couple squeezie packs of ARP lube that I have with my kits.

I have a jar of the stuff that my great-great-great-grandchildren will be using, so the packets will just be left in a box in a corner of a closet.

PM me you info, and I'll drop them in the mail tomorrow.

Is it worth my time to use my head stud kit with these iron heads??
