Are these rebuildable ?

    can this be salvaged or is it not worth the effort ? not a factory correct build for me. 455 in a 67GS. found this in the trunk

    You can send it to classic auto air in Tampa. They will rebuild it good as new. Within a yr the front seal will leak again. Did it 2x's with the factory one from the Riv. Finally gave up and put the Proten6 compressor on it.

    Thanks briz, this looks like a simple solution. all aluminum will lighten the load too. that factory unit is damn heavy.

    Hey Joe, let me know if you want to unload that heavy lump of a compressor at some point. Shipping cost is probably more than its worth but we can figure something out.

    Yes - can't explain it but having the correct stuff my cars were originally built with matters to me. One of these days I will build a car where i am not worried about all of that...
