Man - I'm really disapointed by this. Give me a break! How is it that such a potentially great car is so mistreated? How about using a vacuum! :Dou:

Its like Michael Vick owns it and it lost a race.

Ok so if its the real deal it could be a steal of a deal if the guy couldn't be bothered to clean the car or put the radio in it, heck its even got chrome valve covers, possibly its just anouther stage 1 GSX::eek2:

Doesn't mention anything about documentation. Does anyone else think the stripes are not done correctly?

If anyone is seriously interested and the seller agrees, I am willing to go inspect it and take better pictures. I currently have some spare time, but will need for my expenses to be paid. I am 400 miles (six hours one way) from Odessa, so fuel alone will be close to $200, and depending on the time of the inspection, a one night hotel charge may be necessary. Send me a PM if interested.

Wayne Roberts can also do an "express documentation" for you to verify the car (and options like the Stage 1 package) before the auction ends.

I have sent an email requesting further information. We will see what comes of it. I think Wayne requires both VIN and Body # for GSX's. You may have to get that from the owner to get the express.

BTW - What I have been told is express documentation is double the price $150.00.

One piece of info he could supply now is a pic of the cowl tag. A date from that could eliminate it from the 70 GSx manf. time period or keep it in play.

It does have some indicia of being correct. For instance the steering wheel and the placard.

On the the other hand it does have a post 70 shifter handle.

Of course any of these could have been changed.

VIN is definetely in the range of being a GSX. I think it places it in the April time frame. Not having documentation could really hurt the selling price in this day and age. Also, There is no indication if it is or was a Stage-1 car or not.

He says it has the original trans, so that should verify a Stage 1 car or not. No..? Ask for the code and the vin # off the trans.

Man, there sure has been enough of these for sale lately! I think we might see the prices fall inline with '69-70 Judge cars.

I see he added the trim tag picture. Would be worth getting Wayne to look it up.

$150 for the peek but worth it if one were a serious buyer.

Did someone buy this one through the back door?

Looks odd to have no bids at 25K.
Not too long ago this car would have created a feeding frenzy.

    Glen,

No documentation and non numbers motor are keeping people away I would think. It could be a white GS455. If he got the documentation I think you would find more intersted.

I noticed you have a GSX. Please consider joining the GSX Registry. It is free and you get cool stuff about the car.

    Mark,
Glen owns 2 '70 stage1s - they are both 'eX' racecars.

Regarding this car, the seller needs to prove what he has with available documentation.

Yes...thats (2) GS cars and they're are both registered with Marco. :TU:

Mark: You can bet if I owned a GSX, I would certainly join.

Thank you both for providing this great service to the Buick community.:TU:

Seriously - registries can only go so far as the people who care enough to join.

    Thank you Glen :beers2:

Sorry Glen I misread your signature.

    Marco,

The owner asked for a way to contact Wayne Roberts and I provided it. I do not know any more than that on this.

I agree the registry is only as good as those who register.

    Wow...didnt notice that...
That would definitely throw up a red flag.

According to the records as viewed by the Buick faithful, all GSX cars were buckets and floor shift.

Gotta have Doc's on this one.
