I have a 70 Skylark 2bbl 350 and would like to upgrade to a 4bbl. I have a 73 intake that I dont think will work. I found this one and think it is for a 74. Thoughts? Thanks
Should work. Has the emissions equipment blocked off. Get a distributer recurve kit. You should get a 4 barrel accelerator cable also.
Advertise on this board under “parts wanted” for the correct 70 year intake and carburetor. Look for a 70. 71 is your second choice.
I have this IM currently. I misunderstood while researching that it had to be a 68/70 4bbl intake manifold. I can try to get better pictures for id'ing. If this one would work then I can find a carb and start my winter project. Any other changes recommended while tearing down the top such as cam, waterpump, timing chain etc... I am looking for a setup closer to my Harley. (Loud and Torquey) nice cruiser 70/75 mph cruiser.
The 73-74 manifold should still fit but the emissions equipment makes performance alittle less. But if you need to add linkage to carb for a possible trans change the later intakes may work better.
