We use a nearly identical clamp on the inflow and anti-ice systems of aircraft. Strong, durable and robust. Anything that can channel jet engine bleed air without failure has my respect.

The V-Band is nice but does require welding. I was looking for a no weld solution but not U-bolts.

I used the 3 inch version of these on my exhaust. They were easy to work with and have held up great so far. We did the whole exhaust in my buddies garage up on jack stands. Summit 3 inch exhaust with their turbo mufflers.

Band clamps work great. Have been using them for years.

Especially if you plan to do ny disassembly in the future.

I use them on a daily basis at my shop. Citroën make them in full stainless. I LOVE them. But as someone has stated before, the end of both pipes need to be worked carefully. They must be the same diameter or tad smaller than pipe.

    Peace,
    Kacper.
