I found axle code info for '68-onwards cars at the Buick Performance Club website.

    http://www.buickperformanceclub.com/axles.htm

I can't seem to find similar info on 1965-67 Gran Sports though. Anyone out there know where I can find this info?

Fred, do you happen to have all of the 67 codes for what was offered that year?

pretty sure it is listed in what I just gave you... 65-67 the same. 68 is when the Buick rear end changed and then again in each year slightly here and there. The pages are shifted up ...nothing i can do about that so when the page says 1970 it is 1969... one year back front page one 1965-1967 . That chart can be panned down all the way to 1972.

Hmmm. my '67 was ordered with Posi. Does this mean I have a '68 axle in my '67 (unlikely, car is pretty original) or OX was a 2.93 Posi code in '67 too?

If you find a code that you are unfamiliar with then it came from a different car. The mid-60’s BOP cars all used a BOP 8.2” 10-bolt,but each brand had their own codes for the axles.
