I am rebuilding a tilt steering column for my '67 and the turn signal levers are a little pitted. I will have them rechromed but I can't figure out how or the lever breaks down into smaller pieces. The black plastic thing on the end must be pressed or glued on and the fluted part near the end is OK and doesn't need polishing or plating. Any idea if these can be broken down into their component pieces so I can just have the part that screws into the column rechromed?
I have one of those, used that is almost NOS.Find out how much it is to re-chrome yours, then ,if you are interested, send me your E-Mail address and I'll send you a couple pictures of mine.Bruno.
Maybe a repo Chevelle lever can be used for the shaft, and put the Buick end on it..... http://www.ss396.com/chevelle/IT-4470.html
Holy cow! if anyone has one, it looks like it would be you. Let me know if you find a '67 style lever in there.
