I am wondering if anyone has info on the 75 Century indy pace car. I found one for sale on E-baypace car but it did not have the logos( could have been removed) has a vinyl top? I am also wondering about the interior as I had one years back ( sold in 85) but I think mine had white door panels this one has blue. I know they people may have added the top over the years. I am just curious about what may have been produced with some differances. This I know I found what I thought was mine in Rapid City a few years ago but decieded it wasn't due to the fact that mine had the rear defrost blower option. and this one didn't it had a defrost grid on the rear window.

You might contact Alan Oldfield. He is currently the Director of the Iowa chapter of the BCA. He has what I think is a 75. It is very nice and complete.....maybe he would know more info for you.

    his email is: ADOldfield@aol.com

I think this is his car, I took the photo at the last BCA show here in Cedar Rapids.

Mike, that's a pic of the '76 pace car. Buick got it two years in a row.

The (2)75 real pace cars were 455 325hp, but the production cars were just 350 205hp. In 76 they went with first v6 pace car 231ci. That was the beginning of the turbos with 306 hp which doesn't seem like much now.

    Rex,
The one thing that sets the one on e-bay is that itlooks to have T-tops, only 3 cars came with T-tops the 75 Indy pace car, the 75 Hurst/ olds cutlass and the corvette. The markings on the car may have been removed as they were only decals.

    Rex,

I did see the one at collector car trader. Now that is exactly like the own I owned. I wish I had the $$$. Well That is why I posted the thread, I am just wondering what others thought of it. I am slightly suspect of it too. But like I said the only reason I say it might be an authenic pace car is the T-tops. but like the vinyl top may have been added. But I am waiting on the 73 GS I found. But would like another pace car( should have never sold mine)
