I was wondering what my options were on either finding a new dashpad-

    ('70 GS -Black, non a/c)

Should I get my saggy but never ripped dash fixed-Just Dashes or ???

Finding a really nice used one that has not sagged yet-
    yeah, right!

Any Just Dashes customers out there?

I need to take mine out to fix the dash lights and the rattle of the defroster vents.

Hi Ted - I used them on my 68 LeSabre and it was WONDERFUL in both service and product! Matched the color and looks brand new. It was not cheap. However, my dash is not that common, yours is. You should be able to find a nice used or NOS black GS pad non AC without too much effort. I believe it is also the same as any skylark, which helps. My 2 cents!

    Ted,
Make sure you are sitting down when they quote you a price. I almost fell outta my chair when I talked to them 5-6 years ago. They quoted me $150 each for the headrests (you can buy a new "pair" for that price.

The dash pad quote I got for a 70 GS was ..........$350. I asked if that was for a new one and they said no! Ok......thanks for your time and I will never deal with them! I will go without a dash pad before I would suggest them!

    Just called Justdashes

Yep.... make sure you are sitting down.

1970 Buick Skylark dash with A/C, you mail them your cracked dash, you get back what I am guessing is an excellent restored dash. $500!

That is for black, colors are more. This is what they quoted me by phone approximately 6 weeks ago.

Since then I have seen original dashes in excellent condition on this site and on e-bay for between $50 and $200.

That being said, I have never heard anyone complain about what they got from justdashes. It just aint cheap.

I used them for my seat backs, head rests, arm rest bases, and seat lowers. Results were fantastic. When considering price, consider the price of piece of mind. How much is it worth to you to get perfect results? To me, it was worth it. I especially liked the fact they color match the parts (I have burnished saddle interior; try finding that color at Autozone).

I couldn't afford to do them all at once, but didn't have to because they keep your color on file. If you want to do more parts, just send them off!

You can do it yourself, and Just Dashes sells excellent kits for just that. But for me, I didn't have the time or the skills to pull it off to the level I needed to be happy with it. I didn't want to be ticked off at myself everytime I got in my car due to mistakes I made.

I did this once and never have to do it again. If you want the best possible results and intend on keeping your car for a very long time, then give them a look.

Thanks for the replies. I used them for my 65 Riv like in '92, pricey then even. I priced having door panels done a year ago, pricey but not out of line with expectations or competition(??not much !)
The dash pad isn't cracked, just saggy, maybe I should sit it in the sun upside down for a couple years?
