I was contemplating a 3 point seat belt set up but cant seem to find any pics of how the setup looks
    installed .....

Are they bulky looking at the floor mount with the big retractable and how is it for rear passenger entry
and do they look like it was made for the car or gaudy looking ?

    pics would be helpful :)

My 71 is in storage, but I put the three point belts in when I got the car in 2012. My car has bucket seats. The retractor is not too big. They use the factory mounting so no holes to drill. I hardly ever had a rear seat passenger, but, if I recall, you do have to kind of step over the retractor to get in the back seat.

I like them. I feel a little safer with them as opposed to what would now be 46 year old separate belts. I remember trying to use the shoulder belt in my 71 GS back in 1978 and I hated it - two buckles! I left the shoulder belt clip in place so I didn't have to look ar holes in the headliner.

My '69 'lark has retractable 3 points in front. The retractors are hidden behind the rear side armrests. I'd be glad to forward pics if that helps.
Will have to be after next Monday, we're not back from holidays till then.

Do you have a picture of the mounting area in the ceiling? I am considering adding shoulder harnesses to a 67 and I just don't know where they go with the headliner already installed.

Ok guys i messed up and deleted the 2 emails i recieved about pics so i will post them here but will be a reduced quality pic.
I was wrong when i told 1 of u guys it was a 68 belt. Its a 70 date code belts i have. 1 pic is measured for refrence to find the correct location vs the quarter glass chrome edge for 67s. Other has cover removed to show how it bolts up. These belts are definitely worth using as i can say back in 2001 i had a nasty wreck in a 67 buick and the shoulder belt kept me from leaning fwd and eating the steering wheel or windshield . While i had bruises across chest and shoulder i walking away ok with no breaks other than my pride from destroying my car rps20170508_211636.jpg rps20170508_211715.jpg rps20170508_211754.jpg

Thank you Chris. So just to clarify, there were holes up in the ceiling there from the factory and you added belts from a '70?

Yep. The holes for the anchors were mandatory from 1967 on. Ive read some 66 chevelles had the holes but were very late production cars.
