Any value in an open rear end?

I have a 9 3/8's open with 2.93's. I'd hate to just scrap it, but I don't want to leave it lying around "just in case" is there any value to them beyond the steel?

 

There's some value in the gears, only because they will drop right into a 2.73 rear and provide a slight upgrade. I've found a few 9 3/8 2.73 posi rears over the years and changed them to 2.93. 2.73-2.93-3.23 use the same carrier for 1971-75.

I let it go for $100. Better than scrap, and I had no use for it.
