Its a shame to have all those pretty parts and have them buried inside where no one can see...........we need a clear block. Lol

I have been on the 671 side of things from 78 to 2007, but with a Pontiac.
I high volume low restriction fuel system is paramount even with stock iron heads, and in terms of unported iron heads don't waste time having the blower drive set up making more then 8 to 10 psi of boost as it will only drive more heat into the Intake air and your done at that point!

Also don't forget that a 871 blower and 2 Carbs will add some 95 lb to the nose of the, so right then & there you need 100 hp more then stock just to keep equally!

A 6-71 would be plenty for street / a trip and plenty of WOW factor.
Will also be easier on the heat build up.

Tall adds to that wow factor, but the belt does get long;)

I've got an AIS meth setup and if I decide to use my tunnel ram that would fight off heat buildup also. It would definitely be "up there" 123_1_2.jpeg

I would just do a tunnel ram build and still kick that idea around,..but then I gotta buy another set stage 2 TE's ,..big cam,..and all the stuff that goes along with a tunnel ram engine to make it run. I wouldn't wanna be "that guy" with the scary looking tunnel ram engine that barely runs 10s ha,..then again the $5000 not spent on blower stuff and carbs would get me a nice bottom end

It's ok when blower setups are kinda slow,..the cool factor outweighs it,..but with a tunnel ram you better be fast or people like me are gonna make fun of you ha

I'm not wasting money on fortifying an iron block,..I'm can't buy another Tomahawk,...and I've already had a 10sec hot street setup so I'm stuck trying to find something different to me anyways

If your gonna use that tunnel ram to plop the blower on you going to need to put a backfire plate in the Plenum.

Oh, and the Crank will need to have another keyway added and so will the Balancer.

And speaking of the Blower and Balancer make sure the Blower drive setup can still use a Balancer as you need one if you do not want to replace main Bearings every 800 miles, as me how I know this!

besides running one on the dragster, the driver also wanted one on his 67. so I modified a poston intake and put on the b&m from the dragster on it. small issue is the 67 is a 4 speed car. lol. when I finish the 671 for the dragster, the 471 will go on the 67.
