Sent out headlight bezels and bumpers for my 1970 skylark to be re chromed. Paid to have it done and now the guy that has them wont give them back. Found another front and rear core and sent them out to be re chromed. Paid to have this work done. Chrome shop supposedly lost the rear bumper and FEDEX lost the front one. I am back to square one. No bumpers. That is all that is left to finish my ride!!
If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it.
    Thanks

If you have the receipt for the first set that the guy won't give back, I'd have a lawyer send the guy a letter telling him to cough up the bumpers or you'll see him in court. It should only cost $100 to have that done. May get your bumpers back.

FedEx should be re-imbursing you for the lost bumper. The package had to be insured for some amount. And as long as you can show proof that the other one was delivered to the plater, that's on him to replace it for you. He lost it. That isn't your problem. Tell him where another one is and tell him to buy it, re-chrome it and send it back to you. Again, a letter from an attorney would probably help.

Good luck man. I feel your pain.

Stand in the bed of a truck, parked legally in front of the shop or shops with a big sign. "THIS SHOP RIPPED ME OFF. STOLE MY PARTS".
The owner will have your parts in the bed of that truck before the lunch break. No business can survive with that out front and it's perfectly legal.
Bring a camera and a friend to record the drama. It will be fun to watch later. :kodak::blast:

As long as you have receipts or even cancelled checks, you can go after all of those responsible for your 'lack of bumpers'. You may need to get a lawyer involved, but go after damages and fees as well. And, I like the idea of signs in front of the chrome shop. Call a couple local TV stations. One may show up. Some stations even love to get involved.

And remember, if the transaction crosses state lines you can threaten them with Federal charges too... Interstate theft is a serious crime.

You should post the names of the THIEVES. Why protect their identity ? It might help resolve this matter.

I had that happen to me with the clown Desert Dog in Wi. I dropped off a sweet clean rear bumper. They said they lost it and got me another one and chromed it. Got it and its was repaired and has what looks like a large water spot in the chrome. Like you get when you sand filler in a low spot and meets the high metal.

Agreed. Tell us who you were/are dealing with. OP started thread, then zero info.
