Do we have someone on the board who is confident in there building skills to take a look at what I got and maybe answer some questions I have.

I will upload a video if so.

I'm trying to make a structure that will hold 2-4 cars and I noticed an existing structure used for chicken coops......

I stick built our 30x48 with 12' walls 4 years ago and did 90% myself. Just remember a building is only as good as the foundation it sits on.

Please post your video and idea(s) of what your thinking. There is other guys with construction experience in here too and I'm sure they will chime in as well.

I cut it three times and it is still too short!!!

Seriously thought dude check your local building codes because here in Florida you need a friggen permit to even move a prebuilt shed, and you must get approval from the water management district for what you will do with the roof runoff. C'mon I have six acres, it rained on the ground before, now it will run off the roof onto the same field but no I must get approval from water management now.

There is no pressure from the local city govt. My little town is know for that too, allot of makeshift and questionable building through our here.

I'm no builder. I'd put chickens in there and build a new one in a different spot.

I've thought about that too. Maybe some parrots too. It's all in air right now.

You’re probably better off starting from scratch in the long run. Good luck.

I agree with Mike. By the time you get that existing structure stout and strong enough to secure a couple of cars, you might as well start from scratch and build it the way it needs to be built, rather than adapting what you’ve got to your intended use.

Ron,I know you'd love to use what you have, but that probably wouldn't be safe for you or your cars.

Something not to expensive just to give you ideas. There are many company's out there.

Try to figure out what you'd like in a garage. Write down your plans so if you go the route of hiring someone or even building something with friends/family you'll have your thoughts on paper for others to follow.

Foundation is everything, especially if you ever want a lift.

    Good luck. :)

You see this is originally what I wanted to do. What's this style structure called and where do you think I can get plans for it?

We have lots of those up here in Canada they're great the snow just melts and slide right off them! They are really low maintenance buildings, you don't have to re-roof them at all. If it does leak back off the bolts, apply sealant caulking on the lap, tighten bolts and walk away.
