So I went and looked at a 70 Cutlass SX today. It's a convertible that's pretty loaded with options. Buckets, center console,Power windows,locks,seat,top,tilt,AM/8 track, map lite,A/C.It has the 70 OG trans and posi rear. Now from what I remember the OG trans was only put behind the 365 HP 455 that came in the 442.It's code 28 twilight blue with a blue interior.I have a couple pics but can't load them. If someone would be nice enough to give me their email I could send them to you for posting. It starts and runs and sounds great,as in no motor noise or smoke what-so ever. It is however a survivor that needs work.I have no real idea what these cars are worth done, guessing maybe mid to low 30's?Frame,floors and trunk floor are very solid.I know without seeing it it's hard to price but figure a body on restoration.keep in mind I'm 99.9% sure this is a real W-32 car. Any thoughts on what it would be worth in condition described and then the worth done. Thanks,Tom

    From what I remember, the SX's all came with a 455 and was the poor man's 442. I remember looking at a 71/72 it had a 455 with 2 barrel...that's all I have.

Had one years ago, Viking Blue with White interior, loaded also with Power Windows, AC, Cutout bumper etc, many of the SX Cars were loaded as they were billed as the gentleman's 442.

Great cars, I would guess that they are priced in the ballpark of a GS 455 in similar condition, if not a bit more as they seem a bit more rare.

SX's were 70/71 only and the 2bbl version was early 70. This car has the trumpet exhaust and also a added ram air hood.A real factory ram air hood.

I don't know what they are worth but it would be a great car to have!

had one years ago, liked it but couldn't keep it cool, replaced everything in the cooling system.

If I remember correctly, the 455 2bbl was the std engine in the '70 SX for maybe the first half of the year. But, you could order one or two other 455's crossing over essentially to the 442 drivetrain and ram air hood and further to include the operating cold air induction set-up.
