I have Bobcats, CATS, and Deere skid steers (compact track loaders).
Bobcats are a little harsher than the others but they are excellent machines! They hold their value, easy to get parts for and pretty easy to operate.
The T-300 will be old enough to be pre-emission, meaning no exhaust after-treatment. And that’s a good thing!

The price sounds good especially if it has new tracks. The last ones I bought for my Deere 323D were $1700 each.

I’ve only bought two brand new ones, the rest have been bought used at an auction. I wouldn’t be afraid of that machine.
Look it over, check fluids, look for leaks, look at the belly pans for rough service usage. Good Luck;)

My bestest buddy and I just happen to be sitting having a beverage right now. He also happens to run the local Bobcat dealer/rental/repair shop, been doing it for 20+ years. He said that's one of his favorite machines, period. It would be 25k on his lot if it's in good shape. Do it.

    Oh yeah, Ethan.
You also want I look at the lift arm pins and linkage, make sure there’s not a lot of play around the pins. Especially at the bucket! That’s where they do the most work. You shouldn’t have a problem with 3400 hours, usually at 5-6K they will be shot.
If it came from a rental fleet it was probably used hard, but on the other hand it was probably well maintained.
You also want a tooth bucket. You can do work with a smooth bucket but you can really dig with a tooth bucket. Also see if it’s a Bobcat brand bucket. They are made much better than the run of the mill generic buckets.

Ok, that’s my $.02 based on my experience over the last 25 years running equipment.

Belongs to a fri6of my dads he owns a grading company has for 30yrs or so it was one of his fleet he has 12 iirc, one of his employees wanted to go out on his own so he sold him to of the t300s well now the employee is ready to upgrade and buy bigger/newer so my dads friend bought it back its had regular maintenance and my pop says he's a pretty particular fella so I'm thinking it will be in good shape. Has a smooth bucket on it now he said I could have it or a tooth bucket, man definitely needs both and a need stump bucket for the mess I gotta clear. I'm thinking it's going to be a 2005ish model

Making me jealous! I am still having to settle and use my Melroe Bobcat M-610. I bought it from the original owner about 15 years ago.

For a second there I thought you were talking about the Mercury Bobcat, but no, you're talking machinery :p. That brought back memories. My dad would hall us boys around in his Bobcat. A little before we got the Skylark from Grandpa in 83.
