I'd at least go and have a look at it. Looks ok from here. Mind you, I am 12,000 miles away.

    Good Bad & ugly

I just got back from taking a look. :Brow:
It looks a whole lot better on ebay than it did up close.
    Here's what I found;
The heads, intake, etc. were off, supposedly in the trunk, but no keys to open it.:puzzled:
All that was left of #5 piston was the wrist pin bosses.
I offerd him $500 to end the auction tomorrow but I doubt that he'll take it. :gt:
Here's some views omitted from the auction listing.
    The good...

Hey wait a miniute,:error:not ALL California cars are rust free.
After living in Redondo Beach for a number of years I know all too well what salty sea breezes can cause. :ball:
That's why I moved inland.
I did make the seller an offer but I haven't actually bid yet. :Brow:
I've got a space limitation issiue to work out so I'd have to get rid of something in order to bring another one home.
Next would be the small task of finding a replacement motor for that thing and Nailheads aren't exactly easy to come by, not even around here.
You don't have to kill anyone for this sheetmetal.
If you want it then go for it, I'll gladly bow out.
Unless you'd rather take my Electra off my hands and help me make room for another 'cat. :Do No:

    another stray cat

This is my first time on this message board so have patience:confused: . I saw this car on ebay also and was interested in it because I have a '65 Wildcat 4 door sedan. unfortunately on aug. 16, I had a head on collision with a 2003 Hummer.I was going about 40 mph eastbound and the Hummer was crossing going southwest bound at about 50mph:eek2: .Isuffered a concussion and bruised my left side & both knees, but considering I'm still alive to tell this story is a blessing from God:grin: .My car's name is Kitty and I think she used up a few of her lives in that wreck! (She totalled the Hummer also!).I'm glad You got some closeups of the front end. Could you let me know how all the front end chrome is, if it's cracked or pitted or missing? I live on the North Coast (Ohio), and it might not be worth the shipping cost to get it here. I'd appreciate a reply....Thanks!:TU:

It looks like it has nice options on the ebay car. Just by the pics it has AC, PW, Power Seat, Tinted glass, Tilt wheel, cornering lights, and the mag wheels. The options alone are too good to pass up. Just my opinion... ;-) I hope you get it Robert.

    Tom (?)
That's a pretty sad 'cat tale indeed.
I'm glad that you were able to walk away relatively unscathed.
After a 40 mph impact I'm willing to bet that you've got a little frame straightening to look forward to.
As far as the front end chrome on this car goes, I've seen better but I've also seen a lot worse.
The pieces around the front of that wrinkled passenger fender are about the most heavily damaged and will most likely need replacing, along with the cornering light housing.
The fender may also be a bit too far gone to be fixed.
As for the power options, there was no way to know what if any of them actually still worked.
The car had no battery OR keys.
Also, some of the AC system pieces were missing.
I'd imagine the transport costs to Ohio may be a bit much especially for something that can't be driven up onto the trailer.
If you're really interested in it as a donor then I could go back and get some better pictures for you.
Email or PM me and let me know.
P.S. Thanks for taking out one of those silly looking Hummers.
