    Ted and "unbuy"..

Those words don't go together.. :Dou:

Congrats on the new 'Cat, what, somebody's unfinished project?

Hope you got all the parts, in some sembelence of organization.

From what I heard tho.. you might need more storage space for your collection now.. since that's not exactly a "compact" automobile there..

It is an unfinished project, boxes of parts for it are mainly the trim and big interior parts. The drivetrain (at least the engine) appears to have never left the friendly confines of the engine compartment-starts up really easily even though it has been inactive since '83- last PA inspection sticker -
So the boxes are marked and pretty well organized. Wayne's daughter claimed this was the only time she saw it run to get it on the trailer- she is 26!??!!! Since there are a couple Wildcats around here for reference, it should not be too tough to get it together. Biggest decision-should I take it off the frame or clean in place. The frame is totally pit free. Lets see...

Being that I did your "run of the mill" 70 STG 4 speed car that way, I can't imagine that your not going to have that one of 14 car off the frame.. Being the Wildcat Freak that you are..

Nice cars are easier to do, trust me.. Go for it..

    Have fun

I didn't know Buick built them like this back then..... This is a sweet car and nice find. Congratulations!! Good luck with the finishing touches!!! I wish Buick would have continued to build cars like this.....imagine a 1970 dual quad GS Stage 2 convertible with a 4 spd from the factory.......... WOW!!!!!

It is difficult to understand why the Wildcat nameplate has never been reused since 1970... (except for the models, I know...)

It is a venerable car name, and maybe a car will be sold that rates it some day...

    naaaaah.

Can it be driven to Spring Grove? When is that darn show anyway? Think it can be turned into a hearse by then??? Seriously, that is a seriously cool car...congrats!

Hi Brian, Why yes it would - no bumpers or trim but the dual quads and 4-speed are working just fine. The show is October 11th...I'll have to make a new post to announce that. Party @ Garage the 10th...
