What a great weekend! But-First an appreciation for Yardley, for bringing this beast to our attention last year. The (now previous) owner Wayne Kerper came to Yardley's garage sale, saw the Riv and told Yardley about his Wildcat......FF to last week when Wayne posted here, now thanks to Jim Lore and Chris who promptly PM'd me! So this is 1 of the 14 Wildcat Custom Convertibes that Buick fitted with the Super Wildcat engine and 4-speed transmission. 65 was the last year the Wildcats could be ordered with 4-speed. Basically finding how many they made was my mission for a long time- NEVER did I think a real one would show up...anywhere...just to SEE one would have been great. But now, I have one and its amazing...well preserved and with loads of cool NOS parts...4-note horns...the right carbs, right distributor, right LX code 425 with vin stamp match, right color combo too! Thanks to Wayne, Yards, Walt K, Jim and Chris!
Ted, Glad I could help, can't think of a better person to have it and take it back to its previous glory! Thanks, Chris
WOW! That is unbelievable. 4 notes to boot. Awesome super rare car. Be sure to document all the numbers and date codes you can find. Congratulations!
Way to go Ted!!!:beer :beer Congrats on getting this one. I can think of no one more capable of returning this car to its former glory. :TU:
When I first saw that car last year I rolled through the scenarios in my brain regarding purchase, but ruled it out. I was astounded when he told me it was all original. And how about the tractor trailer load of boxes of NOS parts?!?!?!? Well done Ted. It was good seeing you and I'm glad you made it back home safely.
