Been lurking in the shadows here for a while... finally getting started on making my '65 Skylark 2 Door Thin Pillar road worthy. :TU: removing original factory front end components: cleaning off 51 years of road crud so we can find the strap bolts to remove original fuel tank:
Best of luck on this project! (Re: and so it begins...) Dear superado, gsfred, and 1965 V-8 Buick fans, Welcome aboard! :TU: Best of luck with your restoration! Cheers, Edouard :beer

Having issues keeping fuel to the carb...guess I'll be trying a new manual fuel pump this week...it's only a 2-Jet...and just wanting to drive it right now. :3gears:
Forgot to update: New pump didn't fix the issue. New parts store carb ran worse than original one so I had original rebuilt by Quadrajet Power. After that I put in a new HEI distributor, new wires and plugs...and she runs like a sewing machine! Finally brought her to the house two weeks ago and been driving her to work and back ever since! She drives and handles great too!
