If any of you Regal owners are thinking about swapping out your steel radiator core support for an aluminum one forget it. I'm in the middle of swapping mine out and the weight savings is only 10 lbs. I could have achieved the same savings with a hole saw and not be in the middle of this mess not to mention the cost savings. Be warned.

Whats the problem? Mine seems to be going just fine. Everything has been fitted and is ready to rock.

There is no problem but its not worth the work involved or the cost of an aluminum core support for only a 10 lb weight reduction. I could have spent the time/money in a better cost effective way but it will help in my drive to loose 100 lbs off the front of the car.

I can understand the cost aspect, they can be expensive...but I got mine for a killer deal so no issues here.

I've heard about these aluminum core supports. What vehicles did they come in? And I would imagine they are pretty rare as well?
