    Gary,

Which block did you get? I can't wait to see what you do with it. I was afraid you may go to the other side. You car is one of my favorite Buicks.

    Thanks Tom!
I was very close a little over a year ago.
I got smaller mains and a bigger cam tunnel in the stock location.
My first goal is to make some solid 8-second passes naturally aspirated.
Then a long term goal/dream would be a Procharger combo and a 7.99 pass (I would be surprised if I pursue it this far,But you never know.)

I am learning you can not just bolt them together like you can a factory block. You will need to remeasure everything and double check all the threaded holes.

Gary, I ordered mine the same way. What kind of build are you planning to go 8's? Dave

First and foremost I am going to get the car down to 3200 or less with me in it....Then make it as efficient as possible!

I haven't settled yet on cubic inch but I plan on taking advantage of the larger bore.

Lightweight rotating assembly, Trick rings and a lot of compression.

Cylinder heads are going to be the big hurdle but the power needed is doable with what is currently available, But could be much easier if some updates are done to the current castings.

My goal won't be "easy" and may take a while, But I've already waited a long time. So....

Thanks Gary. I'm still leaning toward a pump gas motor. We will see. By the way, I GOT THE CALL FROM T/A LAST NIGHT! WOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Cylinder heads are not a problem. We have 447cfm. Yes it is a solid head but there are a couple more heads already in the works. That should give the high horsepower cars another 150 to 160hp. You will also have to turn the motor up in the 8000 to 9000+ rpm. but with the new blocks (and that is what this page is about) we can easily make well over 1000hp. Choose your new cams wisely. It is time to ask (TA) Mike what rpm his rockers will handle. Remember Mike can get any rocker you need!
