This is what I looked up in my Buick service manual. I hope that I am correct.

Double check using the factory assembly manual.

I think the last time GM used a generator was in 62,so what you need there is a alternator.Bruno.

I think Weisguy is referring to a PART NUMBER....that is different from the "Stamping Number". Agree w/everyone else....you need a 1100774.

I do have a 1100774 Alt that will be date code correct for you I believe. Can verify tonight if interested...

I may have one also depending on how close to October that you want.

    I have one that is dated 9C20 ( March 20 1969)

Would like to trade for one a bit closer to my car's build date which is 05D . . . . .

Willing to work out any type of trade if mine will work for you (or anyone else needing a 1969 Date Code)

    Mine is Number 1100774 55Amp

It is freshly rebuilt - concours ready!

    I am still looking for a 1100774 alternator with a J or early K 1969 date code.

I was told “accessory” date codes can be up to 6mo earlier. Not sure how true this is.

Thrown in bins I believe it. I've had a few 70 Stage 1's (7 actually) most of them never touched by restorers and 6 months has been well within the window. I have 2 early 70 Stage 1's and both have many 1969 date coded parts on them. 6 plus months earier.

I believe for judging parts can be up to 5 months before the date code of the car.
