Ive been trying to come up with something stronger than the curved chrome bar attached to the waterpump and the top of the alternator. It has the adjustment slot in it. I have the standard TA aluminum one that holds the alt in place . Im trying not to make it look like an erector set.

You could make a CNC machined version of the curved chrome bar that was beefier... but ultimately you'd still be tying to the silly water pump bolt. I've never loved that design choice...

Huggies I mean Hugger, ha yeah, heims have floated through my mind, it's having 2 different size ends that makes it hard to join them. I have a 9/16 wrench bolt at the alt and a 1/2 wrench bolt at the water pump.

No it doesn't you just buy the appropriate size end, they make 3 different tube ends for 1/2, and both ends should be 5/16-18 a 3/8 bolt won't go thru the adjustment slot on the alt end if it does your hole in the Alt would just need a 5/16 helicoil

One would need to make it double adjustable there in the straight part coming off the pump to make life easier tho, there again no big deal
