Thats great news! I had a pal that went for the "Whipple Procedure"... The cut him open, sewed him up, and said to get your affairs in order... he was gone in 3 weeks. Bummer. Alex's condition carried a 97% MORTALITY rate; that aint good odds... ws

My Dad had the same cancer as Alex Trebek.. pancreatic. At the time in Canada there was no medical offering for treatment. The govt considered it 100% mortality which without any treatment is a self fulfilling prophecy. The doctors told him to come back when he was in pain and they would give him some pain killers. He was 47 when he passed.
Good on ya Alex keep it going!!

A friend died of pancreatic cancer a few years ago. Went to doctor when he didn’t feel well. Was diagnosed and died in two weeks. Plain scary. At his wake he looked like he could get up and walk away. How does something kill someone so fast when others can get treated? He is a big loss. Was huge Buick guy too.

I heard Alex say he laid on the floor between shows as he was in such pain. That’s a tough guy. Hang in there Alex. You are an institution.

The whole situation prompted a talk between me and the surgeon. Pancreatic Cancer is hard ti diagnose on a walking bsis. It is very ASYMPTOMATIC until stage 3 or 4. The danger signals are enzyme production, liver function and kidney function too. Im pretty pro-active and dont take this stuff for granted anymore... Bill
