I have heard tale that have been a few SP1/2's modified to be air gap style, this would be time consuming project no doubt but any have any pics?

Sure would be nice if TA would've done the X manifold for the TE heads, in reality it would be more at home on the TE head since engines with TE's are generally higher reving and the manifold is intended for higher rpm, granted I know there are more SE heads than TE heads out there

That is why I am doing what I am doing with the SPX right now as to fill that void. I am working with Mike right now to recast the SPX with the extra material needed in the 8 spots in the pictures below to allow the correct thickness of material needed to be able to port for stage 4 heads without all the welding needed right now. The SPX needs no welding to be used on STG 2TE and STG 3 heads, only the adapter plates I posted on the other thread. It is huge money to make a whole different intake manifold.

In your opinion Chris , do you think the X is worthwhile on a 700/750 hp 6500rpm setup that leaves at 4500

It actually crossed the traps at 6800, and seen well over 7k on a slick track on the hit, im going to a taller tire or maybe 373's to get the revs down, I tried shifting lower and it slowed down it wants to spin I guess

I made back to back passes with an SP1 and a Wildcat.

Both ported by the same person, both for Dominator carb.

    The car ran within .01

This is way a 3D printer with Solidworks program is so important. You can flow your product way before running it off. Then print it in plastic then make your self a mold. Yes, it cost a few grand but well worth it. It saves time and a butt load of money in R&D.

Here are some pics of mine. The modifications were made by John Massoud and Greg Looker many years ago.

The one on the right was a quartered and rewelded to fit. Then it was extensively ported by Scotty and Charlie Evans. The one on the left was done by a porter that worked for Jenkins and RCR, that belongs to a friend
