I'd like to find a factory air cleaner set up for my 65 GS 401. Can anyone tell me how extensive (or not) the possibilities are? I know the various decals seem to be of the same size/design, but what years and models of the base and lid will work? Thanks!

65-66 GS had the same lid. 66 base is 66 only - fits the Q-Jet fitted that year. 65 base fits the AFB. Nailhead Riviera bases & lids should fit from the ones that came with the AFB. I have noticed some years of Cadillac (late 50s, early 60s?) have an air cleaner that looks identical, but do not know if they fit.

If you need one, I have several.

    Mark,
Thanks....yes, let me know what you'd want for one. It's a project in the future--restoring this one--but I wanted to start collecting the parts I need and maybe doing some elbow grease type of work on things like the air cleaner.

    Q-Jet was a option rated at 340HP

The 65 & 66 GS air cleaners are a little different. On the 65 the front snorkel will point off to the left(drivers side) and will have a black and white instructional decal. The 1966 shorkel will point off to the right side, and have a gold with black printing decal. Both fit the Carter AFB or the Rochester 4GC. The 63-64 Riviera is the same as the 1965. There was also a Chrome air cleaner for both years. The lid for all air cleaners are the same, the chrome air cleaner came with a black lid. I have several of thes air cleaners and a couple restored.

Yikes, sorry for the goof up. 66s are slightly unfamiliar territory. Thanks for the correction.

Jim, Mark, and everyone else.....Thanks for all the info. I'm sure I'll be able to strike a deal with one of you guys and now know some pretty finite details about this. Thanks again...
