I am going to be putting in air bags and ordered a set from Summit Racing. They are the Air Lift 1000 (style 60750). Should I use the stock coil spring or go with the heavy duty springs like the station wagons springs?

    Thanks for your help

Ed, I used Moog replacement springs for the Special station Wagon. It sat too high so I had to cut off a partial coil from the spring. I'd recommend you use the standard Skylark spring.

Are you using air bags to raise the car, or to adjust the suspension for racing?

Can they be used for both?

My purpose was for traction and I thought I would use them to lift the car some but maybe that will not work. I currently have CC511 springs in and the claimed ride height is 11.5 and a free height over 17.4 inches. The load is 1114 lbs. Those springs have the shocks fully extended. How long did you have the springs in before you cut them. I was told it takes about 3-4 months and they will settle about an inch.

Do you have a picture of the car before you cut the spring and maybe one after? The 5233 were still to high? The car in my avtar has the CC springs in it and would only ride ok if I had a full tank, stuff in the trunk, and 2 people in the back seat.

    Thanks for your help,
