If you can wait to get it done till after the first part of the year. Garrison will have his shop up and running. From what I see in the plans so far its going to be a kick ass shop all set up to do restos thru just nice paint jobs on drivers. He is over on bpg or buickland.com now if you want to chat at him. I have his number here too pm me for it if you want to call and talk to him.

    STILL NOT OVER!!!!
Man this guy is STILL pissing me off. Even though the my bank said that after 5 days I could "assume" that the check(s) cleared. The second $750 check came back yesterday. NSF.....insufficient funds!!!!
I called him from work a few times and he wouldn't pick up. Called from my cell and he picked right up as I had not used it before so he didn't recognize it.
He claims someone wrote him a bad check so that was why there weren't sufficient funds. Yeah, yeah sure.....
How can someone run a business and not have $750 in the bank???

He says wait a few days and it will be good to submit again.
My bank charged me 6 bucks, I hope his bank charged him more!!

Or I guess I could drive 1.5 hrs to his bank and cash it on the spot.....
    GRRRRRRR

You seem surprised. I was willing to bet money this was gonna happen. I've seen that same thing happen to people who sold stuff and were paid with a cashier's check. They deposited it and their bank even called the source of the check and was told it was good. A few days later. BOING!!!!! Stolen cashier's check!! :Dou:

    CONGRATULATIONS BRUCE!!!!!!!
YOUR THREAD HIT A MAGIC #.
    "455"
Now Call his bank DAILY, and get a Verification of Funds PRIOR to trying to run the check.
You have the Account#. IF they tell you funds are there, RUN IT LIKE A BUNNY, or File in either Small claims, charging for bounced check charges and everything you can Document. (Time, Travel expences, Filing Fees etc.)
Next, check on filing leans against Real Property. Local Tax office should have records.
I'd make his life a Living Hell. Put his # up in Bar Rest rooms, and use his wife's or Girlfriend's Name. Could be fun about 2AM! :TU:

Yeah JR I called his bank and the funds were there so I deposited it again.
The hot little bank girl (ass. manager) with like an eastern European accent said call the bank in 5 days to see if it cleared. But based on the last one I'll wait a couple weeks before counting my eggs.

I hope it bounces so I have a reason to see the bank chick. Man that shirt was low cut! :Brow:

Wow! I think this thread holds the record. Resurrected after being dormant 9 years!! What was the final outcome? I couldn't even finish reading through 2005.

Man, I can't even remember what happened with the second check. I guess if I didn't get on here and whine about it, it cleared and I didn't get to go to the bank to see that hot bank chick again....:Dou: Probably would have remembered then.....

As far as the car it's STILL not finished. Got a new 71 grille and rechromed bumper but never put them on. Engine should be removed and detailed but it runs fine so I haven't gotten motivated to yank it. Maybe this winter.....

Dude I know who you are talking about. I just recently took a picture of her. Don't feel bad. You're not missing much. Amazing what a few years of aging can do.
