Hello all, my name is Steve Reed and I live just north of Baltimore MD. I purchased my fathers 65 GS back in 1988 and drove it everyday up until 1990 when I moved to Indianapolis. My father purchased the car new in 1965 and I literally grew up in this car. there is still a scratch on the glove-box where I bumped it with my fishing pole whenI was six years old. Boy did I hear about that when my father found it a week later :-(. I have kept the car in my garage for 20 years and drove it to a barn 5 years ago where I am storing it currently. I am wanting to start the long process of restoring the car and would like to find a good machine shop to rebuild the 401 nail head. I actually took a tour of Automotive Machine & Performance in Philpot, KY several year back but I was told they are out of business now. Can anyone recommend a shop in the Midwest or east coast who understands nail heads that might be interested in rebuilding my engine? Thank you very much. Cheers!
