Adjust the Gear Selected Indicator at the Dash

    I know I asked this question some time ago and someone (Larry?) responded with how to adjust the indicator & a picture so that I know which gear the tranny is in. It's probably in the chassis manual but I have no idea where to look.

    IIRC, there is a clip with a cable attached to it on the part of the steering column that rotates when you move the shift lever. The clips wear out or need adjustment once in a while.

    Very simple. Remove the steering column access panel and you will see the adjustment. There is a thin wire link that attaches to the column bowl. There is a slotted adjustment clip held on with a small bolt. Just loosen the bolt and adjust. Here is a picture of the link and clip.

    Don't over tighten it. The clip will strip very easily.
