What I do is to take a base gasket and make a pattern for a adapter which I make out of 3/8'' hot rolled steel.... steel is strong enough that you can cut it , drill and tap it, and when you install it, it will not warp out of shape.... and it is thin,,,, at 3/8'' it doesnt add enough height to cause clearance problems with the hood.....
