a short holley rebuild survey/question

    happy fathers day also !
    standard holley vac secondary ( 1850 , 3310 , etc ) rebuild on a pretty clean , no problem carb - just off the top of your head what are a couple pain in the butt steps of the rebuild for you ?

    ok - 65 views and no bites ?
    anyway , here's what I was getting at . for me the big question mark is the installation of the vac secondary diaphragm . everything else is easy to see and figure out but that , to me anyway , I never trust it and always want to dbl check it . the only thing I can do is put my ear up to the vac port on housing and move diaphragm rod up n down and listen for the sucking noise but even then never really SURE about it . always seems like ya need an extra hand and in my holley tips n info I've never really seen anything about it .
    so another redneck 101 tool . made it outa an old dish drainer silverware bucket and some nuts n bolts layin around . you can see by last pic that even with pressure applied onto the diaphragm I can't really see any distortion of rubber and holes seem to stay lined up well .
