hey, I have a 1977 Buick Regal 2 barrel car that I got a Intake and quadrajet from someone here (they are off of a 76 Buick)nice enough to sell them to me at a fair price a few months back...looks like a friend with a stronger back than me is going to be able to help me install them on my car sooner rather than later, so I need to rebuild this Q-jet that I have been putting off...so....long story...long....I haven't rebuilt a Q-Jet since about 2007 or so, used to just get kits from Advance, etc...but unless I am missing it on those sites, those days are long gone. I have searched the web, and there seems to be 3-4 sites I could get them from, just wondering if they are all basically the same, or if there is someone that just has better kits (also need to replace both vacuum breaks/canisters/whatever you want to call them as they aren't holding vacuum)

    Thanks!

Contact Cliff Ruggles. He can supply the parts needed to rebuild any specific q-jet by carb number. All seals will be Viton, so will be resistant to alcohol fuel additives. He can also supply parts like vacuum controls and throttle shaft bushings if required.

All kits aren't the same. Many store bought kits have generic poor quality parts to keep cost down.
You will be happier with one of those mentioned and check out our store too for another option.

That's for sure. I've tested every single part out there currently available from every Vendor. We are still seeing POS buna rubber and neoprene pump cups and the crappy early style pumps showing up in many over the counter kits. Even the "blue" seals they have on some of those pumps are a complete POS. They swell up and stick in the pump bore then either the pump pulls apart or the seal rolls off the end of the pump and gets wound up on the return spring. I buy the later pumps and remove the blue seals on them and install a custom seal that will not fail in this new fuel, E-85 or even straight alcohol. NONE of the over the counter kits have the correct N/S assemblies in them either, and many are showing up with the tiny .110" seat assemblies which woln't keep up with a stock 305 Chebby let alone a 455 Buick engine!.......Cliff
